Big Red

Day 8 of chemo (yesterday) went well. Minus some initial *digestinal track* issues last night, I think the steroids they gave me have really pumped me full of energy. I'll probably crash in a day or two... but I'm riding this wave.

So, enough about chemo. This morning, because of all my energy, I hopped in the car while the nanny stayed with the boys and I got myself to Target. Oh, the big red bullseye, how I've missed you. I was desperately in need of some pants that fit. I also needed a few other items. Don't you always need a few other items at Target? Not sure how that happens. But it does.

I had a huge taste for a Chik-fil-et sandwich... so I stopped and got one. I know, I know, not the healthiest thing I could have chosen... but it sounded (and tasted) so good.

Then I was off to pick up Olivia at school. I have not done that in weeks. She was so excited. I felt so normal. It was good. Thankful for the simple things in life. Things that 8 weeks ago I was complaining about. Funny how your tune can change so quickly. I guess that is a good thing.

Now I'm on a chemo break for nearly 2 weeks. I'm thankful for that too. I have not had a panic attack in days. I'm really learning to turn things over to God. (And just about as soon as I do I manage to take them back.) Remember, I said I'm LEARNING. Gosh, maybe I am going to be a different, better person as a result of this thing. Who knew?

Praising the Lord one Target run at a time!

I wish I could have gone with you to Target.I have not been since the baby was born. That's right, TEN WEEKS without Target. It's so wrong. But enough about me. YAY for feeling normal! YAY for eating Chick-fil-a!! Remember what I said, at this point, EVERY calorie is a good one. Take advantage of that and eat some yummy stuff! SO glad you had a good day. Praising God with you!

Yay for feeling good today! I am in desperate need of a Target run! That is one thing I have taken out b/c as you said "you always need a few other items" and that gets me in a LOT of trouble. And if its Chick-fil-a you crave you better get you some!

So happy you had a regular day! BTW - my kids used to call Target the "one more thing store" because I always would think of one more thing on the way to the check out.

Praying for much more normal in your life.

When I was in the dollar spot today I was thinking of all the fun stuff I should send in a gift box for you and your kiddos...only I did not have the flat rate box to fill with me...so I prepped ideas for next week when I go to find Gretchen's birthday skirt (I am making a 2 shirt to match make fun if you wish!) and my wish was granted b/c I stood there thinking how much you would enjoy a trip there just as normal instead of a box from me! But I'll send one sometime soon!!! SO glad you had an adventure (as my kids call any trip out of the norm, and way more fun then calling it errands!!) today. I hope tomorrow brings more and better!

E,
Praying for you my old friend.
I'm not sure you're a control freak. There's a LOT going on. Maybe you're masking being a control freak. :)
Seriously, He made Himself known to you, drew you to Him & loved(s) you. He is well pleased with you, his daughter.
