Oh boy

Well, it's here. I'm off in about ten minutes to start my first chemo of round one. I'm pretty nervous. My stomach is in knots. I am trying to just go and trust the Lord, the doctor and the nurses. But the truth is, we just don't know how i'll react. I'm asking God to just give me peace. Tomorrow is a new kind of drug and next monday and new kind. I guess each new day i'll be a bit nervous, since we won't know how I'll do with each one. But God knows.

Steve is going with me both today and tomorrow. I'm thankful for a job with some understanding and flexibility.

Please pray for my nerves. For my body to accept the drug well... and that this stuff will rid my body of cancer once and for all.

Your prayers are felt and appreciated.

I'll update when I can.

Praying for you. Love the picture of you and Olivia in your previous blog. Too cute. You're looking pretty cute in your argyle sweater.

I prayed for you last night, and again today. Hoping the chemo goes right to the cancer cells, bypassing everything else, and kills those "rat ba$tard cancer cells!" So glad you were able to go to O's birthday party and be an active (standing back and let the hostess do her thing!) participant! Praying you will withstand well the assault on the cancer cells, and be declared RID of them once and for all, very soon.

Elizabeth, I just got caught up on your blog. I will be praying for you sister! Hope today went well and your body tolerates chemotherapy well. My dad has been through chemotherapy for lung cancer and he did better than anyone thought possible. Have a student here whose moms going through chemotherapy for breast cancer and she is doing well. Let's be hopeful for you too!!

You are a fighter, a survivor, a woman of faith and strength. You are a tough opponent for any challenge. Even the big “C” is no match for you because you belong to an even bigger “C”...

CHRIST

He is with you and many prayers are for you as you fight this battle.
